A Vision Taking Shape
In 2016, at the very beginning of the Tollare Terrass project in Nacka, Sweden, I was tasked with capturing the earliest stages of its transformation. Working with the Bonava company and my photo agency, DIAKRIT, I used drone technology to take precision positional panorama images—visual data that would be used to create digital architectural models. These models helped shape the vision of the proposed housing units, giving developers and architects a clear sense of the views and spatial relationships from the interiors before a single brick was laid. It was a technical and creative challenge, one that gave me a unique connection to the site even before it became a neighborhood.

From Blueprints to Homes
As the construction progressed, so did my role. By 2018, the vision of Tollare Terrass was no longer just an idea—it was becoming a reality. I was invited back, this time by the realtors tasked with bringing these homes to market. Through interior photography, I documented the newly finished spaces, capturing the light, design, and personality of each unit. These images weren’t just for marketing—they were an invitation for future residents to imagine their lives here.

A Photographer’s Journey
Being part of this project from start to finish was a rare and remarkable experience. I witnessed Tollare Terrass evolve from architectural plans into a living, breathing community. The same site where I once stood among construction materials and heavy machinery became a vibrant neighborhood filled with homes, families, and everyday moments. It taught me how photography can be more than documentation—it can tell the story of transformation and aspiration.

A Living and Vibrant Neighborhood
My work on this project reflects my deep belief in photography’s power to preserve the journey of creation. I was privileged to capture not just the structures but the vision, effort and life that brought them into being. Tollare Terrass stands today as a beautiful and thriving community and I am honored to have played a role in sharing its story—from blueprints to reality.
